What is this blog for?

Yes, I am lucky enough to realize one of my dream: doing a world-tour traveling Eastward, crossing about 20 countries during 7 months :-))
This blog tries to share part of this personal experience, through pictures, descriptions and thoughts. This is also to keep a track for me to remember later on ;)
Enjoy and do not hesitate to comment!

Drive to the Namib desert

Tuesday April 16th

Again, today we’ll spend a significant amount of time in the truck to cross this huge uninhabited country that Namibia is. 500 km, 7h, on roads even less smooth than yesterday and with dust filling your lungs… Does not sound nice I know but I really start enjoying discovering Africa that way… flying around with planes would not allow to catch the reality of this continent, whether in its landscape or people living around.

After more than 7h in the truck, we finally reach our camp in Sesriem… and the reward is there. Views on the starting Namib desert dunes are eyes opening, and though we cannot resist a jump in the pool, the surrounding environment only suggest what we can discover the day after. No one will even complain about the 4:30am start we will have to do! ;)
